This Privacy Policy statement explains which personal data are collected when using D-Genies, the purpose of data collection, and how these data are collected, processed and secured. D-Genies website

Cookies

There is no privacy information related to cookies.

D-Genies sets two essential cookies:

  • A preference cookie called wall. It is an empty cookie that memorizes that the 'cookies warning message' was displayed. It is set after clicking on "I understand" from the 'cookies warning message'. It expires 180 days after it was set. It is not refreshed with new visits.
  • A session cookie called results. It stores ids from previous jobs done with D-Genies in order to populate the "results" tab. It is set when a job is completed. It expires when the browser session ends.

Personal data

  • Collected data: When browsing D-Genies website, the following information is logged by our server: your browser, operating system, IP address, date and time of your visit, visited pages, and amount of data transferred.
    In addition, when submitting a job, the following information is logged by our server: the email address you fill in the form.

  • Why do we collect this data: this data is used to send you a message when your job has ended, monitor for suspicious activities (e.g. attempts to hack the site), to diagnose problems on the site, and to create anonymous usage statistics (analytics). We do not attempt to identify or profile people based on this data.

  • Lawful basis for processing the data: processing this data is necessary for performance of a public interest mission and to keep this website secure and robust.

  • Who has access to the data: personal data is only accessible to the Genotoul Bioinfo platform team.

  • Data transfer: this data is stored on a server hosted in the Toulouse INRAE DataCenter (France)

  • Data retention: we will keep security logs and analytics information for one year.

  • Third party processors: no

Email to support

We use the Genotoul Bioinfo ticket system to manage support on D-Genies. Information related to privacy policy for support is described in Section "Support demand forms" on Genotoul Bioinfo privacy policy webpage.

Recipients, access and data protection officer

The recipients of the personal data are authorised personnel working in the controller's services, partners/supervisory bodies and providers in charge of managing and monitoring users, and implementing the website and the services offered.

You have the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to object on legitimate grounds, the right to restriction of processing and the right to erasure for all your personal data in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in France's Data Protection Act 1978, as amended, reinforced and supplemented by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which became effective on 25 May 2018. You may exercise these rights by contacting the publishing manager, such as specified in the legal notices, or by writing to the address indicated in the said notices. If there are doubts about the identity of the person wishing to exercise such rights, a signed identity document will be required.
